Hardware is generally categorized into grades - 3 is residential, 2 is commercial, and 1 is heavy duty. BiLock cylinders are made to last in all heavy duty applications. We offer lock sets and deadbolts for both commercial and heavy duty use.
Keying Systems
The BiLock system is founded on 12 pin chambers and two side bars. This allows for keying for over 11,000,000 unique key combinations per keyway. In a master key system over 500,000 changes are available under a simple Grand Master system.
The locks are pick and bump proof. All cylinders can be configured interchangeable core without converting any conventional knobs or levers. Door cylinders can be inter keyed with cam locks and desk locks for complete office integration.
Mortise, rim and cam locks have been successfully tested to the UL437 standard. This is the highest rating possible for mechanical locks.
Deadbolts
BiLock offers deadbolts in both Commercial and Heavy Duty grades. The lock is pick and bump proof.
The Commercial unit has an expandable bolt to accommodate both 2 3/8" and 2 3/4" backsets. The single cylinder model is UL rated. The Heavy Duty model uses mortise cylinders with no exposed screws. Bolts are specific for a backset. Use the chart below to measure yours.
All BiLock double cylinder deadbolts come with special Egress keying. The user keys are master keys and open both sides of the door. A turnknob key is included and meant to be kept in the inside lock when the property is occupied. It will only operate the inside lock and will not open the outside lock. This way if its ever misplaced, it cannot be used to gain entry from the outside.
Like all BiLock cylinders, they are available with the quick change option so the lock can be rekeyed in seconds without any lock disassembly. This feature allows the homeowner to temporarily change a door lock so a house sitter, cleaning service, etc can gain entrance with a special key that can be blocked once the homeowner desires.
The heavy duty model can have hardened steel pins inserted in the cylinder if it will be used in areas where physical attack of the lock is likely.
Locksets
The BiLock locksets are are rated for commercial and institutional properties. The locksets include BiLock pick and bump proof cylinders. The lever sets feature an anti-vandalism clutching outside handle.
Choose from entry knobs and levers or storeroom and classroom function levers. Like all BiLock product, they are available with the quick change option so the lock can be rekeyed in seconds without any lock disassembly. This feature allows the facility to instantly rekey their doors in seconds. And with millions of codes available, factory master keyed systems never have to "share" the same control or master keys with multiple customers.
The locksets are available in stain chrome, bright brass or antique finishes.

Backsets
Typically the opening in a door for mounting a lock set or deadbolt is centered either 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" from the edge of the door. See the picture on the right to measure yours.
